My story

Every entry below is my own experience as a paying customer — dates, order references and amounts as they appear in my invoices and chat transcripts. Nothing here is second-hand.

  1. 0127 July 2026/12-item order · delivered ~10:30 PM/₹199 chicken + hidden fees

One order, four failures: expiring chicken, no bag, missing items, no support

A single grocery order on 27 July 2026 that went wrong in four separate ways — the product, the delivery, items that were billed but never delivered, and the complete absence of anyone to complain to.

Issue 1 — Raw chicken delivered on its own expiry date, already smelling

Ordered on 27 July 2026, delivered around 10:30 PM the same night. The pack was Licious Chicken Curry Cut, ₹199, packed on 24-07-26 with a printed Use By date of 27-07-26 — the very day it reached me, at night, with effectively zero shelf life left.

The chicken smelled off when the box was opened. Raw poultry is not a category where 'last day of use-by, delivered at 10:30 PM' is acceptable. It also arrived listed as 450 g on the app while the pack label reads 460 g.

Issue 2 — A 12-item order handed over with no bag at all

Twelve items, including a 1 kg pack of peanuts, a 1 litre ice cream tub, ghee, lettuce and raw meat — delivered with no carry bag. How is a customer expected to carry that? On my head?

If the bags are 'torn' or 'out of stock', that is an operational failure at your end, not mine. Provide a cloth bag for heavy orders. If it cannot be free, charge for it — hidden charges are hardly a new thing here. Packaging fee, handling fee, whatever you want to call it. Just do not push your logistics problem onto the person who already paid.

Groceries from the order piled loose on a table with no delivery bag
The order, dumped loose — no bag provided for twelve items.

Issue 3 — Cheese slices and roti billed, not delivered

Two more items on the same invoice — cheese slices and roti — were charged but never arrived in the bag. They were not out of stock at the time of ordering, because the platform accepted payment for them.

This is the same pattern again: bill for twelve items, hand over fewer, and hope the customer does not notice at midnight. Missing items on a paid invoice are not a 'delivery experience issue' — they are money taken for goods never supplied.

Issue 4 — No customer support. Not a human, not even a bot.

I order over ₹1.5 lakh a year on this platform, averaging two to three orders a day. When something goes wrong at 11 PM with raw meat, there is no agent to reach and not even a working AI assistant. The chatbot asked me to select the order, I described the issue as 'Expired', and it replied telling me to write an email to info@blinkit.com with my order ID and photos — then closed the conversation and asked me to rate its assistance.

So the paying customer is expected to draft an email, attach evidence, and wait. I am paying for convenience. Convenience that is not delivered on time, not delivered late — simply never delivered. Buying groceries should not mean buying a second job in follow-ups.

Support chat transcript where the bot asks the customer to email info@blinkit.com and then closes the conversation
Support chat: told to email, conversation closed at 11:23 PM, then asked to rate the assistance.

Outcome: No refund and no resolution in the app. The chat was closed by the bot with an instruction to email support, which means the complaint now moves to the National Consumer Helpline (1915) and, if unresolved, to e-Daakhil.

  2. 0227 July 2026/9-item order · arrived 10:56 PM/₹79 tender coconut

Paid-for coconut never delivered — no refund, no apology, no response

A second order the same night. Nine items were billed and paid for. One of them — a Tender Coconut at ₹79 — simply never arrived.

Issue 1 — Item billed, item missing

The order summary clearly lists 'Tender Coconut, 1 pc x 1' at ₹79 (down from ₹91). It was charged. It was not in the delivery. I even paid ₹79 for a coconut opener in the same order, which makes the missing item quite hard to overlook.

A missing item on a paid invoice is not a 'delivery experience issue'. It is money taken for goods never supplied.

Order summary — 9 items, arrived 10:56 pm, Tender Coconut billed at ₹79 but never delivered.

Issue 2 — No refund, no apology, no response

No refund was issued. No apology was offered. No one responded at all. The complaint went into the same void as every other one — a chatbot, an email address, and silence.

The amount is small. The principle is not. Charge for nine items, deliver eight, answer nobody — repeat that across millions of orders and it stops being a mistake and starts being a business model.

Outcome: Still unrefunded and unacknowledged at the time of writing. Logged as a separate grievance with the National Consumer Helpline (1915), with the invoice as proof of payment for an undelivered item.

  3. 03Ongoing · 100+ orders/Thums Up Cola 250 ml · repeat orders/₹20 per bottle

"Chilled" is printed on the product page. The bottles never are.

The Thums Up PET bottle listing carries a 'Chilled' badge right on the product page, next to the shelf life. I have ordered these more than a hundred times. Not once have they arrived chilled.

Issue 1 — A cold-storage claim made on the listing, never honoured in delivery

The product page displays 'Chilled' as a product attribute — a clear promise that the bottle comes out of refrigeration. Across 100+ orders of the ₹20 / ₹39 PET packs, every single delivery has been at room temperature.

If a platform advertises a product as chilled, that is part of what the customer is paying for. Under Indian consumer law this is a misleading representation about the nature and quality of goods, not a minor detail of service.

The listing itself says 'Chilled' — printed as a product attribute.
Order summary showing Thums Up Cola pack of 2 delivered at 12:58 am with handling and convenience charges
One of many such orders — delivered 12:58 am, with handling ₹12 and convenience ₹15 charged on top.

Issue 2 — An open challenge on the evidence

I am willing to share photos, video, or submit to an in-person inspection of any delivery, at any time. The evidence is on my side and I have no problem putting it on record.

So here is the simple question back: can Blinkit publish even one video of these PET bottles being taken out of a refrigerator and packed for dispatch? One clip. If the 'Chilled' badge is truthful, this should be trivial to produce.

Outcome: The 'Chilled' claim is still live on the listing. Documented as a misleading-representation complaint for the National Consumer Helpline (1915), with the product page screenshot as the advertised claim and 100+ orders as the pattern.

  4. 0410–11 July/₹312 order, arrived 10:34 pm · replacement ₹377 order at 1:25 am/₹165 Red Bull

This Red Bull got real wings and flew off

A Red Bull Energy Drink was billed and never delivered. With no way to reach support and no refund path, I ended up ordering the same can again — paying twice for one product.

Issue 1 — Billed on the invoice, absent from the delivery

The 10 Jul order (₹312, arrived 10:34 pm) lists three items: Red Bull Energy Drink 355 ml at ₹165, Amul Masti Buttermilk and Bisleri water. The Red Bull never came. Handling charge ₹12 and a ₹5 donation were still collected on top.

The order history then shows the workaround: a second order the same night at ₹377, 11 Jul 1:25 am, for the same Red Bull. The platform's failure became my extra bill.

Order history — the ₹377 re-order at 1:25 am, placed only because the first one never arrived.

Issue 2 — No agent, no refund, no escalation. Only email.

There was no option to talk to a customer support agent. No callback, no chat with a human, no escalation path — only an email address, again. No refund was issued for the missing can and no one acknowledged the complaint.

A missing item at midnight with a live chat that refuses to connect a human is not a support system. It is a wall designed so the customer gives up on ₹165 and simply re-orders — which is exactly what happened.

Outcome: Paid twice, refunded zero. Filed as a deficiency-of-service and unfair-trade-practice grievance with the National Consumer Helpline (1915), with both invoices as proof.

  5. 05Order ORD03333824079 · arrived 6:56 AM/Orient Electric Fabristyle Dry Iron, 1100 W · paid via UPI/₹516 bill total

A dead iron box: never worked, never refunded, never heard back

One item, ₹1,140 MRP discounted to ₹499, ₹516 paid in full via UPI. The iron did not work — not a fault that developed later, it never worked at all.

Issue 1 — Defective appliance delivered, no replacement, no refund

The Orient Electric Fabristyle Dry Iron arrived at 6:56 AM against order ID ORD03333824079, paid via UPI, bill total ₹516 including a ₹12 handling charge and a ₹5 donation. It was dead on arrival.

Selling a non-functional electrical appliance and then refusing to take it back is a straightforward supply of defective goods under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. A discount on the listing does not reduce that obligation.

Order summary for Orient Electric Fabristyle Dry Iron 1100 W purple at Rs 499, bill total Rs 516, order ID ORD03333824079, paid via UPI
Invoice — Orient Electric Dry Iron ₹499, bill total ₹516, order ORD03333824079, paid via UPI.

Issue 2 — Complaint raised, then complete silence

The complaint went the same way as every other one: no agent to speak to, an email into a void, no refund, no pickup, no replacement. Not even a rejection — simply no response at all.

So a customer is left holding a dead appliance they paid for, with the platform's only remaining prompt on the screen being 'Rate now' and 'Repeat Order'.

Outcome: Still unrefunded and unanswered. Documented as a defective-goods complaint with the invoice and order ID for the National Consumer Helpline (1915) and, if needed, e-Daakhil.
